 | | download manual | | FIRE-PROTECTION LACQUER FOR WOOD AND WOOD-BASED PRODUCTS | ORDER A SAMPLE | PROPERTIES AND APPLICATION FIELD Water fire-protection lacquer “Stabiterm-107” is designed for external and deep treatment of wood and wood-based materials, used indoors, with the purpose for reduction of their fire hazard. “Stabiterm-107” is resistant to ageing, meets requirements of fire safety stipulated in NBP 251-98, with consumption of 330g/m2, losses not considered, the lacquer provides 1st group of fire-protection efficiency. The mention consumption is achieved with application of 2-3 layers. It preserves its operation properties during at least 10 years. APPLICATION METHOD AND CONSUMPTION Processed wood should be dry and cleaned from dust and dirt. Presence of previously applied paint-and-lacquer materials is allowed. Ambient temperature not less then +10°C, relative humidity not higher than 80%. The lacquer should be carefully stirred before application (directly in packaging, during 10-15 minutes). In case of feeding of lacquer, it is allowed to dilute it with xylene and carefully stir during 10 minutes. The amount of solvent should not be more than 5% of lacquer’s weight. It is not recommended to dilute the lacquer additionally during operation. The lacquer is applied by means of pneumatic dispersion with a roll or a brush. During application of lacquer on treated surface, it is recommended to avoid leakages, stripes and other defects. It is reasonable to apply the first layer of lacquer with a thin layer. During dispersion the lacquer should form mist. The lacquer is applied on surface with a spray in two mutually perpendicular directions. During first passage, stripes of lacquer are formed on all surface area in one direction, during the second passage in perpendicular direction. Intersection of these stripes creates an even coating of lacquer on all surface. To provide evenness of coating during application of parallel stripes of lacquer, it is necessary than the stream of spray went beyond the edge. OPERATION CONDITIONS Wood and wood-based products covered with fire-protection lacquer may be utilized indoors. Full stabilization of the coating and its protective efficiency is achieved during at least 14 days. STORAGE CONDITIONS AND GUARANTEED VALIDITY PERIODS Storage of lacquer in seal metallic packaging in a dry, non-heated warehouse allows to preserve original quality of lacquer during 12 months from its production. Upon expiry of the mentioned period, lacquer should be subjected to additional test, and in case of compliance with all TU figures, it is considered admissible for application. Increase in viscosity of lacquer during storage is not a cause for scrapping. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS TU 2494–001-84300285-2008 In rooms, where operations with the lacquer are conducted, natural or combined extract and input ventilation should be installed. During operation, sanitary and hygienic requirements should be observed: work using means of individual protection, observe rules of personal hygiene. In case of contact of lacquer with skin, it is necessary to rub this spot with cotton wool moisten with solvent, and then wash it with warm water with soap. CERTIFICATES |
