Cementitious fire protection is a well-proven solution for fire protection of structural steel. These materials increase the fire resistance limit of bearing steel structures up to 150 minutes and above.
Such fireproofing materials are noticeably cheaper than other thick-layer compositions and provide a comparable or higher level of protection, but create a greater load on the structure due to the greater mass. Most often, special impregnations or topcoats are required to make the plasters weather-resistant.
The fireproofing sprays are recommended to be applied using special equipment, however, when working in hard-to-reach areas or for repairs, manual application is also possible. Plasters may be mixed with different amounts of water, which allows selecting the required consistency of the plaster mixture.
